Child Abuse

Child Abuse Hotline: 1-800-652-1999

The Nebraska Alliance of Child Advocacy Centers is dedicated to enhancing Nebraska’s response to child abuse with a multidisciplinary, child advocacy approach throughout all of our state’s 93 counties.

Everyone has a responsibility to report child abuse or neglect. State law requires any person who has a reason to believe that a child has been abused or neglected to report their concerns to the Child Abuse and Neglect Hotline above.

Since 1996, Project Harmony has been working to end child abuse and neglect. We do this through an innovative and highly collaborative service model that encompasses three equally important and overlapping pillars: response, treatment and prevention.

The Division of Child Abuse provides learners with an experience in the diagnosis and treatment of infants and children who have experienced child abuse and maltreatment. Faculty in the division provide inpatient consultations at Children’s Nebraska as well as Nebraska Medicine. The staff also has an outpatient clinic at Children’s for complex social situations and physical abuse.
